Silliman University Medical School (SUMS) celebrates University Christian Life Emphasis Month (UCLEM) at the Silliman University Church last July 6, 2016 at 7:00 pm as part of the celebration of the Midweek and Communion Service

Dr. Walden Ursos, the new Dean of SUMS, gave a message about the values of Christianity, the sacredness of life, and the importance of Christ at the center of a medical practitioner’s profession. The service was attended by students and faculties from different colleges, namely the IRS, ICLS, Nursing, and the School of Medicine.

Celebrated every semester, UCLEM is an inclusive tradition in Silliman University that reemphasizes the value of Life and Christianity to one’s self. It aims to bind together students and faculties alike, regardless of religious affiliation, in a month-long list of activities and services that targets the spiritual strengthening of all participants. This year’s theme is “Living Life with Christ". Scripture Text: Luke 10:25-37; John 10:10

The celebration of UCLEM is spearheaded by the University Spiritual Life Committee.
