Among the uncountable events during this year's Hibalag, was the Hibalag Booths. Different organizations showcased the best of their society in booths of various shapes, sizes and apparent ingenuity as if it was a national booth-making competition where one major criterion is "Exciting gimmicks"!

The SUMSA Booth definitely refused to stay in the by-lines. A 3-meter phyton is certain to ensure one a place among the most-visited booths.  Everyone enjoyed the chance to touch and take pictures with this frightening, deceivingly docile creature which by nature could curl around your neck and kill you, anytime!

SUMSA being strong advocates of going Green, another highlight of the booth was the different products of Lumago Designs which were made of upcycled materials, including plastic bottles, leather from ukay-ukay, papers from magazines, etc. One can spot keyholders, phone bags, earrings, bracelets and necklaces all uniquely designed, elegant-looking and beautifully crafted to rival any jewelry made of more expensive material. What is special about the brand besides it products though is that its 12 very creative employees are all mothers who were previously jobless and street scavengers. Thus, whenever you buy their products you dont only feel good for looking stunningly gorgeous, but also for knowing that you are helping enable a group of women to have a decent livelihood that would help sustain their families, giving them the chance to rise above poverty.
